As expected, Titans cut Vince Young

It's past 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, and many of those cuts that were reported in the past 48 hours are now becoming official. One guy we hadn't heard anything about was Vince Young @VinceYoung, even though his release has been a foregone conclusion since January. It finally became official a few minutes ago -- the Tennessee Titans have released Vince Young. Young was scheduled to make $8.5 million in salary this season, not including a $4.25 million roster bonus.

Fantasy Analysis:

So ends a five-year roller coaster ride for Young as a Titan that included a Rookie of the Year award, two Pro Bowls, injuries, inconsistent play, a strip club fight, rumors of depression and benchings. Now he'll have to work for a backup job. The popular destination right now is Philadelphia, only because Kevin Kolb is gone, and it would be pretty cool to see Young backup Michael Vick. Young has no fantasy value at the moment.
