Saints' RB Pierre Thomas healthy; RB Chris Ivory not so much

New Orleans Saints running backs Pierre Thomas @Pierre_Thomas and Chris Ivory @ivory33 both underwent surgery in January. Thomas needed some stuff fixed in the left ankle that limited him to just six games last season. Ivory had lisfranc foot surgery. The Saints opened training camp Thursday, and while Thomas passed his physical, Ivory isn't ready. In fact, he told Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune that he needs a couple of weeks more to recover.

Fantasy Analysis:

Ivory was a nice surprise last season, averaging 5.2 yards over his 137 carries. But he has a history with injuries. Plus, Mark Ingram @MarkIngram22 is a shorter Ivory, but younger and more skilled. I'm not sure how the Saints will divide the carries between Thomas and Ingram, but I don't think Ivory is not going to be part of the mix much. And if he wanted to join that duo, his season isn't starting off too promising.
