Titans sign rookie QB Jake Locker

The Tennessee Titans open training camp today. Chris Johnson won't be there, but Jake Locker will be. The team and the 2011 first-round pick have agreed to terms on a four-year deal with a league-legislated option for a fifth year. The contract is reportedly worth more than $12 million, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. Locker was selected with the eighth pick in April's draft.

Fantasy Analysis:

For all intents and purposes, Locker will get paid for sitting on the bench this season. The Titans signed Matt Hasselbeck @Hasselbeck a couple of days ago, and he is fully expected to be the team's starting quarterback come week one. Locker will have his time to learn and improve his NFL game, which definitely includes better accuracy. The fact that Hasselbeck, and not Locker, will be starting for the Titans is good news for this entire offense, especially top wideout Kenny Britt.
