Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw, WR Mario Manningham miss practice Thursday
The New York Giants were without running back Ahmad Bradshaw
and wide receiver Mario Manningham
during Thursday's practice. There is more concern surrounding Manningham, who didn't practice on Wednesday either because of a knee injury that has been bothering him for weeks. Bradshaw sat out today after going through a limited practice Wednesday. However, head coach Tom Coughlin said the absence had more to do with giving Bradshaw some rest after he did a lot during the previous day's practice.
Fantasy Analysis:
Everything is basically moved up a day week because of the slate of Saturday games, so the fact that Manningham hasn't practiced this week is alarming. Even with Hakeem Nicks spending the weekend on Revis Island, Manningham is a very weak WR3 option if he's active on game day. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think the Giants will run all that much against the Jets. And unlike last week, Bradshaw won't always be bailed out by late, cheap, short touchdowns. I view him as nothing more than a decent flex option in 12-team leagues.
