Vikings QB Christian Ponder has concussion
The major injury to Adrian Peterson wasn't the only bad health news for the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. On the play after Peterson sustained his knee injury, quarterback Christian Ponder
was knocked out of the rest of the game because of a concussion. Joe Webb
took over for Ponder and accounted for three touchdowns.
"Some of the things he does, and what it does to the rest of our team, you can't ignore," head coach Leslie Frazier said of Webb after the game. "So it's something we're going to have a real hard look at as we go forward. He definitely lifts our team."
Fantasy Analysis:
Don't expect Ponder to play in week 17 against the Chicago Bears. Webb is a nice athlete, but he still has a long way to go to become a real quarterback. For fantasy purposes, note that Webb threw a touchdown pass to Percy Harvin
on Saturday, so the QB change shouldn't affect Harvin's fantasy status too much.
