Steelers want QB Ben Roethlisberger for 25 to 30 snaps
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Steelers would like Ben Roethlisberger to play roughly one half of football in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. Roethlisberger did not play in Week 16 and was severely limited the previous week in what was a loss to the 49ers. He tried to play through the injury but ultimately did more harm than good. The Steelers would like to play him in order for him to avoid being rusty as the team enters the postseason.
Fantasy Analysis:
Roethlisberger is of course a really tough guy who is more than willing to try to play through these injuries but Pittsburgh needs him ready for the playoffs and healthy. It'll be tough to strike a balance between the two. The Steelers can grab the AFC's No. 2 seed with a win in Week 17 coupled with a Cincinnati win over Baltimore or tie in that game. If the Ravens win, the Steelers will face the eventual AFC West champs whether it be Denver or Oakland.
