Broncos RB Willis McGahee says he's healthy, vows to play 'the whole game'
In the past couple of weeks, Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee has seen his playing time reduced due to game situations and a hamstring injury. In week 15, McGahee was on a role, rushing for 70 yards on seven carries before a tight hamstring forced him out of action early in the second half. In week 16, he rushed for 60 yards on 12 carries in the first half. But as Tim Tebow unravelled with a host of interceptions, the game got out of hand for the Broncos, and McGahee handled the ball just three times in the final 30 minutes.
On Tuesday, McGahee said he's over all of his physical ailments and declared that come Sunday versus the Kansas City Chiefs, "I'm going to stay in the whole game."
Fantasy Analysis:
Much of McGahee's playing time in the second half last week went to Jeremiah Johnson as the Broncos trailed by no less than 12 points for most of the fourth quarer. If he's truly healthy, he should be a solid RB2 this week against the Chiefs, who possess an offense that isn't all that capable of running away from the opposition. However, McGahee will also need Tebow to take care of the ball. That may be a bigger concern for McGahee owners at this point.
