49ers WR Kyle Williams concussed, TE sustains broken jaw
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams
was concussed and tight end Delanie Walker
broke his jaw in their tough road victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Although many might be quick to dismiss the Seahawks, they played in that game with a chip on their shoulder and plenty to play for. The loss eliminated them for playoff contention, but not before they could inflict some damage upon the 49ers. Couple these two injuries with the recent release of WR Braylon Edwards
and the 49ers are paper thin at both positions.
Fantasy Analysis:
Williams has filled-in nicely late in the season as Edwards has been unable to get healthy. Walker is mostly a blocker, but within San Francisco's run-heavy, power package schemes, they may need to add another big bodied TE to fill the void which won't be easy to find this late in the year. The 49ers are hoping Walker can play in the playoffs and Williams will be much needed with Ted Ginn also injured.
