WR Greg Jennings out; other Packers banged up
The Green Bay Packers have nothing left to play for in the regular season. Outside of week 15's game in Kansas City, they've won everything there is to win in the regular season, so everyone is expecting them to rest their starters for most of Sunday's game versus Detroit. We already know one notable Packer who won't be available for fantasy owners this weekend, and it looks like some others also need a little time off.
Wide receiver Greg Jennings
has been ruled out because of his knee injury. However, he's fully expected to return for the playoffs. Meanwhile, tight end Jermichael Finley
, wide receiver Randall Cobb
and running back James Starks
all missed Wednesday's practice. Starks is still nursing a knee injury. Finley has a sore left knee, and Cobb has a sore groin.
Fantasy Analysis:
If I had to guess, I'd say that Matt Flynn, Brandon Saine, James Jones and Tom Crabtree will be the Packers offensive leaders at the four main skill positions this week. The rest of Aaron Rodgers' crew isn't worth playing in fantasy this week. Just another reason why you should never, ever play in a fantasy league where week 17 stats decide your championship.
