QB T.J. Yates will start for Texans; WR Andre Johnson will be limited
Despite separating his non-throwing shoulder on Sunday, Houston Texans quarterback T.J. Yates
is on track to start Saturday's playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Yates "threw well" during Monday's light practice and he expects Yates to start.
Wide receiver Andre Johnson
will also play after making it out of week 17 with another hamstring injury or aggravation. But Kubiak isn't ready to turn the All-Pro loose just yet. After playing about 20 snaps Sunday, Kubiak said that Johnson still isn't ready for full game.
"We want him playing 45 to 50 good ones, and I think he'll be ready to do that," Kubiak said about Johnson on Monday.
Fantasy Analysis:
Jake Delhomme wasn't horrible while filling in for Yates yesterday. But no matter who starts at QB for the rest of the year, the Texans are going to be all about Arian Foster and Ben Tate.
It was a brutal fantasy year for Johnson as he was done in by two different hamstring injuries. Injuries have played a big part in Johnson last two seasons, However, he's still a difference-maker when he's on the field, and is still a WR1 for a 2012.
