Jeff Fisher agrees to become Rams' head coach
The St. Louis Rams have landed the big fish on the coaching market. Jeff Fisher agreed to terms on Friday to become the Rams' next head coach. Those terms have not yet been disclosed. Before not coaching in 2011, Fisher compiled a 147-126 overall record in 17 seasons as the head coach of the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Analysis:
It came down to the Rams or the Dolphins for Fisher. But the Dolphins don't really have a quarterback right now while the Rams have Sam Bradford. It's certainly much easier to make the playoffs in the NFC West than the AFC East. And the Rams have a lot of salary cap space and the No. 2 pick in April's draft, so all of that -- plus a hefty contract -- pushed Fisher to St. Louis. He'll have a lot of pull in the team's search for a general manager, and he'll handpick his staff. Fantasy-wise, one can only hope that Fisher has as much success with Bradford as he did with Steve McNair. This is a big move for the Rams, but fantasy owners will want to see which offensive coordinator Fisher chooses.
