Cardinals pick up QB Kevin Kolb's option, out of Peyton Manning sweepstakes

The suitors for Peyton Manning are dwindling. The Arizona Cardinals, once believed to be the favorite for Manning, were taken out of the race on Friday when quarterback Kevin Kolb @KevinKolb_4 remained on their roster after 4 p.m. Eastern time, automatically kicking in his $7 million roster bonus. The Broncos, Titans and late entrant 49ers remain on Manning's radar.
Kolb signed a five-year contract with the Cardinals as a free agent last summer. It can be worth up to $63 million, including $21 million guaranteed. In his first year with Arizona, Kolb played in just nine games and threw nine touchdowns with eight interceptions.

Fantasy Analysis:

Kolb was pretty brutal last season, but the Cardinals have seemingly committed to him for at least one more year. I'm sure they would have liked to add Manning, but frankly, time ran out on them in regards to Kolb's contract. Kolb will be in the middle of the QB2 pack in fantasy drafts.
