Cardinals re-sign WR Early Doucet
The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed Early Doucet to a two-year contract. Financial terms weren't immediately available. Doucet had his best statistical season as a pro in 2011, catching 54 passes for 689 yards and five touchdowns. All of those numbers were career-highs and ranked second on the team behind Larry Fitzgerald. Doucet has spent his entire career with the Cardinals since being drafted out of LSU in 2008.
Fantasy Analysis:
And with this, it's clear that the market on free-agent wide receivers is running thin. Doucet is the Cardinals' No. 2 receiver, but he probably shouldn't be any team's second-best option. He has surpassed the 80-yard mark just twice in 42 career games and didn't garner much interest while available. The Cardinals will still look to upgrade at the WR position through the draft. For fantasy, Doucet is a WR4 or WR5. Considering the team's QB situation, I don't see a lot of upside to Doucet.
