Bengals HC Marvin Lewis says RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis can play all 3 downs

When running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis @TheLawFirmBJGE signed with the Cincinnati Bengals last week, the common feeling was that he'd be a part of a timeshare with Bernard Scott. But maybe the Bengals are preparing to put Scott on the back burner yet again. Head coach Marvin Lewis said that Green-Ellis is capable of handling the load by himself.
"A month ago if you told me we were going to sign BenJarvus, I would have taken it," Lewis recently told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "After meeting him, you feel even better. His versatility, his abilty to catch, to protect. He does it all. He can be a three-down player if he needs to be."

Fantasy Analysis:

But at the same time, Scott finally deserves his shot, and the Bengals' offensive coaching staff knows that. This sounds like a head coach pumping up his new acquisition. I still expect Scott and BJG-E to split carries pretty much evenly early on, with the hot hand getting more work as the season progresses. Green-Ellis will be on the field for all short-yardage and goal-line opportunities. Right now, I'm staying away from this scenario in fantasy.
