Titans WR Kenny Britt is very confident he'll be ready for week 1
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt
was just getting started on a beast of a season when he tore his right ACL and MCL in week three last year. In the first two games, he scored a total of three touchdowns and registered at least 130 yards in each. And he's sure that he'll be able to pick up where he left off when the 2012 season commences.
"I guarantee I will be back and better than I've ever been before," Britt told The Tennessean earlier this week. "With all the work I have been putting in, I will be 110 percent better than before. This has not been a setback if you ask me. The way I see it, it has been a head start for 2012. ... I don't care how hard they have to push me, or how hard I have to push myself, I will be back for that first game. You can count on that."
Fantasy Analysis:
Some of that is hogwash. There's bound to be some rust and some limitations on Britt, especially early in the season. But overall, I'm fairly certain he can be a productive fantasy WR this season, one able to top 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. When it comes to his value, I'm more anxious to see if he can re-establish his solid rapport with Matt Hasselbeck or whether he'll be able to produce steadily when Jake Lockergets under center. And, you know, he has to stop getting arrested.
