Devin Hester would like Santana Moss to join Bears
Most players like to think that their suggestions, what they say they want has an impact on how their team is shaped. It doesn't, mostly. Devin Hester is not the Chicago Bears' general manager. I'm sure their brass will complete the transactions that they think will contribute the most good to the franchise, not just to fulfill the desires of one receiver. But that's not going to stop Hester from speaking his mind. He would like it if the Bears added another short, fast receiver from the University of Miami to their corps: Santana Moss
.
"Anybody that can come in and help out the team, I'm down for it, and a guy like [Santana Moss] can come in and really help out a lot," Hester told the Chicago Tribune. "I'm hoping we can get him."
Fantasy Analysis:
The problem here is that Moss might not be available for Chicago to sign. He has stated that he would like to return to the Washington Redskins. Otherwise, the Bears already have Hester, Johnny Knox and Earl Bennett lining up on the outside. Do they really need to add a 32-year-old, five-foot-10-inch Moss? Yes, he's still a productive receiver, but I don't think it's a good fit. The Bears do need an upgrade at that position, but someone of bigger stature -- Braylon Edwards? -- would make more sense.
