DeAngelo Williams wants to retire a Carolina Panther
Potential free agent running back DeAngelo Williams has stated that he's going to give the Carolina Panthers the first opportunity to re-sign him. He added, "There are possibly a few other teams I don't know about right now, but I'm pretty excited about where we are going as far as me and the Panthers. Wish me luck. I'm going in (to the stadium) as a Panther and I want to stay a Panther. I want to retire as Panther. But at the end of the day it's a business." As for the rumors that former Panthers and current Broncos head coach John Fox is interested in signing Williams, he stated "don't believe what you hear."
Fantasy Analysis:
Well then! For all Fantasy intents and purposes, both Jonathan Stewart and Williams don't have much value if they're on the same team. Williams is being very loyal to the Panthers even though the team is beginning a new chapter under a new coach and quarterback. Stewart could be a Fantasy stud if given role of Carolina's feature back but this only hurts his Fantasy Football value. Carolina will have a whole new offense led by Cam Newton and depending upon his level of success or struggle, so too goes the Panthers' offensive production.
