Redskins' Anthony Armstrong not a fan of team adding WRs
The Washington Redskins are ready to re-sign Santana Moss and are still looking to possibly add Santonio Holmes. Such developments would probably excite most Redskins fans, but one person isn't happy: Redskins wide receiver Anthony Armstrong
. He takes all of the talk as a personal offense to his game, but plans to use it as motivation.
"It's one of those things that if you bring somebody else in at my position, it means I wasn't doing my job effectively," Armstrong told the Washington Post.
"I use it as fuel or motivation that I need to improve my game to where, if they bring in a new person, this person is not going to impact me, I'm going to outwork them, I'm going to do my thing to outperform them."
Fantasy Analysis:
Armstrong turned into one of the league's most potent deep threats last season. He caught just 44 passes but turned them into 871 yards. His 19.8 yards per catch average ranked third behind only DeSean Jackson and Mike Wallace. However, John Beck's lack of arm strength doesn't mesh well with Armstrong's game. And if the Redskins add Holmes, you can pretty much forget about Armstrong being much of a fantasy factor, barring injury.
