Redskins bring in yet another wide receiver, Brandon Stokley
In two days, the Redskins have re-signed Santana Moss , signed Donte' Stallworth
and traded for Jabar Gaffney
. You can add Brandon Stokley to that list. The 35-year-old wideout has been picked up by the Redskins on a one-year contract. Stokley, who has been in the NFL since 1999, spent last season with Seattle. He recorded 31 catches for 354 yards. He has a past with Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan. Stokley played under him in Denver from 2007-2008.
Fantasy Analysis:
In the end, this will be much about nothing. Stokley represents just another camp body, a player who was at his peak six or seven years ago and a solid pro for the past few seasons, but not worth much fantasy attention. This also shows us that beyond Moss and maybe Anthony Armstrong , nothing is guaranteed when it comes to Redskins receivers who will make the final roster.
But hey, at least they've got some depth.
