Tashard Choice strains calf as another Cowboys RB gets injured

Two days on the field, two running backs down to injury for the Dallas Cowboys. On Friday, Tashard Choice @tchoice23 missed the morning walk-through due to a strained calf. ESPNDallas.com's Calvin Watkins says Choice is listed as day-to-day, but co-worker Todd Archer wrote on Twitter that Choice's injury is "looking like" it could keep him out two-to-four weeks. This comes after rookie running back DeMarco Murray @DeMarcoMurray strained a hamstring Thursday. That is expected to keep him out of action for two weeks. According to Watkins, the Cowboys were left with Felix Jones @felixjones28, Phillip Tanner and Lonyae Miller as running backs available for the walk-through.

Fantasy Analysis:

The door is certainly open for Jones to create some space between himself and the rest of the roster's running backs. Jones isn't expected to carry the ball more than 15-17 per game, but if Choice can't get back quickly, perhaps Jones will see more touches early in the season. Jones is a fringe RB2 with some upside, especially if he gets 20 touches per week consistently.
