Update: Sources: Nnamdi Asomugha is a Philadelphia Eagle

What a mutation of free agency rumors. All day -- ALL DAY! -- the Nnamdi Asomugha sweepstakes were considered to be between two teams: the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets. Then, shortly after 6 p.m. Eastern Time, reports hit stating both teams had suddenly dropped out, the Jets before the Cowboys. At 6:15 p.m., word came: The Philadelphia Eagles have swooped in and agreed to terms with Nnamdi Asomugha. It was first reported by FOX Sports' Jay Glazer and confirmed by NFL Network's Michael Lombardi. Terms are not yet known, and the Eagles have scheduled a press conference to take place at 7 p.m. UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter has the financial numbers -- five years for $60 million with $25 million guaranteed. Nnamdi, Asante Samuel and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the same defensive backfield. *speechless*

Fantasy Analysis:

Absolutely amazing. Everyone expects that Nnamdi's contract figures will be made public at this press conference in about 35 minutes, so I'll update this at that time. It's obviously a huge get for the Eagles, and it causes some heartburn for a few NFC East quarterbacks, Tony Romo and Eli Manning, specifically.
