Cardinals enhance offense with TE Todd Heap
Todd Heap has found a new home to play football, same as a old home where he used to play football. The 31-year-old tight end signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract Sunday to become an Arizona Cardinal. Heap, who played college football at Arizona State, was cut by the Ravens less than a week ago after 10 seasons in Baltimore. Heap had 40 receptions for 599 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games last season. His 15.0 yards-per-catch average was the best of his career.
Fantasy Analysis:
Heap isn't as productive as he used to be and is more of an injury concern as he ages, but this is a good addition for the Cardinals, whose passing offense is starting to look formidable with Heap, Larry Fitzgerald and Kevin Kolb
. Still, Heap is not a TE1 in such a deep class. He's more of a sleeper, but we'll have to wait and see what kind of rapport he and Kolb develop. The inclusion of another quality weapon has me upping my outlook on Kolb just a little bit. I think he is a top-12 QB.
