Texans' Arian Foster signs tender

Many players are demanding big-money contracts for this season, but not the No. 1 running back in many fantasy circles. Houston Texan Arian Foster @ArianFoster signed his exclusive-rights tender on Sunday. The one-year deal is worth the third-year minimum, which is $525,000 under the league's new labor deal. Foster's first season as a full-time NFL starter was a huge success. He led the league with 1,616 rushing yards on 327 carries. He also caught 66 passes for 604 yards and scored a total of 18 touchdowns.

Fantasy Analysis:

It's no doubt that Foster is a top-three fantasy pick. But there are a couple of concerns with him. For starters, he touched the ball 393 times last season. It'll be interesting to see if he feels the effects of so much work this year. Secondly, he lost his All-Pro fullback, Vonta Leach, to the Ravens. That may mean less established running lanes to use. But again, he's a top-three pick, and for a guy who played through the season with a torn meniscus, there's a possibility that Foster could be even better in 2011.
