49ers' Frank Gore to end holdout

The holdouts are dropping likes flies now. The latest player to concede is San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore. According to the Sacramento Bee, a team spokesman confirmed on Sunday night that Gore has spoken with head coach Jim Harbaugh and has decided to practice with his teammates while he attempts to negotiate a contract extension. Gore is scheduled to earn $2.9 million in base salary and another $2 million in a roster bonus during the final season of his current deal. The 49ers are off Monday, so Gore won't be on the field with the Niners until Tuesday.

Fantasy Analysis:

Much like with these other players who want a bigger contract, expect something to get done between player and team soon enough. The Niners know how important Gore is to their cause. With that being said, it's nice to hear that he is coming back to camp and can now start learning Haubaugh's system. Harbaugh has already said he wants to use Gore more in the passing game this year, so this should be a big season for Gore if he can stay healthy, which is always a point of contention with him. He's still a late-first, early second round pick in drafts.
