Texans' Andre Johnson says his surgically repaired ankle is 100 percent

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson @johnson80 was gimpy for basically all of last season. He injured his right ankle in week two, and it was something he had to play through for the rest of the season. The pain got so great that he had to miss three games. And Johnson still caught 86 passes for 1,216 yards and eight touchdowns. Just imagine what he could have done if he was 100 percent, which Johnson said Sunday he is now. "It feels good," Johnson told the Texans' official website. "My first time running, it felt kind of weird. It felt like one leg was heavier than the other because I was so used to running with a brace on, but I feel great now. Training down at 'The U,' (University of Miami strength and conditioning coach Andreu) Swasey got me back feeling to my old self, so I feel good. I'm ready to go." Johnson underwent arthroscopic surgery on the ankle during the offseason.

Fantasy Analysis:

Good to know. Prior to 2010, Johnson recorded back-to-back seasons with at least 1,500 yards, and he would have done it a third time if his high ankle sprain hadn't been so much of an issue. Expect another 100-catch, 1,500-yard, eight-or-nine-touchdown season out of Johnson this year if he stays healthy. He is fantasy's No. 1 WR in my book.
