Texans' Andre Johnson dislocates finger in practice

Just as Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson @johnson80 proclaimed himself to be 100 percent after getting over that troublesome 2010 ankle injury, he's got something else to deal with. Johnson dislocated his left index finger during practice Tuesday. The injury occurred while Johnson was trying to catch a ball on a slant route. The ball deflected off his left hand, apparently hard enough to force the dislocation. Johnson walked off the field after the play, removed his glove and saw that his finger was bleeding. He left practice on a cart, and head coach Gary Kubiak said he didn't know if surgery will be needed. "We're getting it looked at," Kubiak said of Johnson's finger. "I've got a big lump in my throat like everybody else, but hopefully, he'll be fine."

Fantasy Analysis:

Right now, this is nothing to worry about. Surgery would certainly be more of a problem, but we'll see if this comes to that. Otherwise, expect Johnson to be on the field within a few days. And even with surgery, expect Johnson to do whatever possible to play week one versus Indianapolis. He knows all about toughing it out and playing through pain.
