Titans will look for starting QB after lockout

The Tennessee Titans have put their future into first-round quarterback Jake Locker. But who handles the present is still to be decided, according to head coach Mike Munchak. On Wednesday, Munchak told The Tennessean's John Glennon via Twitter that he will be looking for a veteran quarterback with the abilities to teach, start and win once the lockout is over. "We're not looking for a guy that's not capable of starting and winning games for us. We need someone that can come in here and win, and then have a nice competition between him and Jake Locker and Rusty (Smith)." The Titans are going through quite an overhaul at quarterback. Besides spending the eighth overall pick on Locker, they also witnessed Kerry Collins' retirement last week and are set to release former first-round selection Vince Young when the lockout ends.

Fantasy Analysis:

If past performance is any indication of what the future holds, Smith doesn't stand much of a chance in this competition. Matt Hasselbeck @Hasselbeck, Marc Bulger and Donovan McNabb @donovanjmcnabb, in no specific order, would seem to be candidates to come to Nashville. Whoever signs will have to understand that there's a decent possibility they will have to play behind a rookie at some point.
