Texans keeping Jacoby Jones

The Texans and wide receiver Jacoby Jones @TheRealJacoby12 have reportedly agreed on a three-year deal worth $10.5 million with $3.5 million guaranteed. Jones will return to his main role on the Texans: distracting defensive backs from swarming Andre Johnson @johnson80. The Texans love his play-making ability; he just needs to be more consistent with it. Last season, Jones caught 51 passes for 562 yards, both of which finished fourth on the team. He caught three touchdowns.

Fantasy Analysis:

Many are waiting for Jones to break out. They can keep waiting for all I care. Jones was a popular sleeper going into last season because he was playing alongside Johnson. But we learned that you really can't trust him. He and Kevin Walter pretty much split the looks among the Texans' secondary receivers, and that doesn't leave enough for either one to be a very important fantasy player. Owen Daniels is still in the picture, and don't forget that the team's second-leading receiver last year was running back Arian Foster (66 catches).
