Colts injury update: Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Austin Collie
The Indianapolis Colts will open training camp this weekend and in advance of that, the team has released a pre-camp injury update. No surprises unveiled, but there are some big-time fantasy names on the report.
Leading the way is Peyton Manning, who was expected to miss the start of camp as he recovers from neck surgery. The team confirmed this by saying Manning "continues to progress, but there is no timetable for his return to unrestricted activity."
Tight end Dallas Clark will wear a splint over his surgically repaired wrist during practices, but he has been cleared for full participation. Clark missed the final 10 games from last season because of his wrist injury.
Wide receiver Austin Collie , who saw his 2010 season marred by multiple concussions, has been cleared to return to "football activities," but not full participation.
Fantasy Analysis:
I'm not worried about any of these guys. Clark is good to go already. Collie isn't feeling any effects from his concussions. And while we all knew Manning wouldn't be ready to go at the start of training camp, that shouldn't bother anyone. I'm pretty sure he could open the season without any training camp practice and throw for 4,000 yards.
